KINGMAN – As Wednesday, June 10, Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) will allow limited visitation for some hospitalized patients. The hospital has been closed to all visitors since March 14 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Patients who are not under isolation precautions (those who test negative for COVID-19 or other infectious disease) can now receive visitors within the following constraints: Visitation is permitted twice daily, from 8am -10am and again from 5pm -7pm. Non-isolation patients are allowed one visitor per day during visiting hours. Visitors must wear a mask to gain entrance to the hospital. KINGMAN – Beale Street Theater’s Spring show will return after its postponement during COVID-19 in March. June 25 and 26, director Bob Blake and cast will be performing at 7 p.m. at Metcalf Park, 315 W. Beale Street both nights. The show is a satirical summary of every Shakespeare work, including that of Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet. Black Bridge Brewery will also be selling Shakespeare-themed beer during the show in support of the theater. The show will be performed on the stage at Metcalf Park with a minimal set designed specifically to be portable to and from the venue….

Vanover pleads guilty in mom’s brutal murder

KINGMAN – A Kingman woman has pleaded guilty to first degree murder in the death of her own mother. A plea agreement for Carrie Vanover, 24, was entered during a Wednesday hearing before Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle. Terms of the deal are identical to a plea agreement recently entered for Vanover’s boyfriend Mark Baldonado, 32, Kingman. Baldonado was recently sentenced to life in prison, which in this case means that he will have to serve at least 25 years before eligible for release from prison.
