Spending the first nine years of her life in New Orleans, Louisiana, really provided Phaedra with the ultimate taste of a city full of tourism attractions.  As a child, she found herself writing stories that were inspired by the city's rich culture.  In later years, She majored in marketing at the University of Phoenix where she took courses that trained her on how to write about consumer behaviors.  Afterwards, Phaedra moved to San Francisco and attended Academy of Art University where she majored in screenwriting.  This is really the university that taught her about storytelling for both fact and fiction.  Back then, she had aspirations of attending her then dream school, The New School University in New York City. In high school, Phaedra was an avid watcher of the TV show, "Inside the Actors Studio" which was hosted by the school's former dean, James Lipton.  She applied and was accepted into the New School University as a junior as many of her previous credits had transferred over.  She lived in New York City for about five to six years and within that time frame, finally obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts.  With her emphasis being creative writing, she took many exciting writing courses such as Entertainment Journalism and Writing for New York City Newspapers and Magazines.  Her senior college internship as a reporter for Yonkers Rising Newspaper is really when Phaedra was bitten by the "journalism bug."  It was a summer of ongoing downpours lasting from May until the end of July.  Not even the rain could stop her from chasing stories about local businesses, musicians, artists, and community events. Although Phaedra loved the city's fast pace, history, culture, and energetic nightlife, she somehow always pictured herself as a writer in a charming small town like Lake Havasu.  She moved to Havasu in the summer of 2022 from the Phoenix area.  One of the many traits Phaedra finds so intriguing about this town is that it has a diverse mix of all the places she has previously lived.  For example, the elegance of the London Bridge Resort gives her a remembrance of New York's most historical and upscale hotels like the Carlyle and St. Regis.  Lake Havasu also has  a slight San Francisco "bay area feel" for her with their boating tours that exist year round. The variety of fishing activities in the area  is reminiscent of the many fishing options in New Orleans. What Phaedra really enjoys the most is learning about the local organizations and nonprofits that the residents of the city are very passionate about.
