Dear Editor,
It’s nonsensical when our U.S. presidents have two primary Air Force One planes. Trump wanted a Saudi plane that’s been costly and problematic from the get go but not as costly and problematic than billionaire Saudis snatching up our land and water, using it to grow crops to send back to their country.
Getting rich off our limited resources. But here in Arizona, this problem that’s been ignored for far too long, Gov. Katie Hobbs and Attorney General Kris Mayes kicked that problem to the curb and put a stop to it. Whether it’s our land or corporations, billionaire Saudis have been plundering across our nation.
It’s one thing to come here to roll up your sleeves and work hard that benefits our country working on farms and ranches and in factories and in our healthcare and hospitality industries contributing to our communities in positive ways – not ripping us off just because you can because you’re rich.
And Trump has been giving rich business foreigners a pass to be here at a million dollars a pop. As if we need more greedy billionaires that’ll do no different than what Jared Kushner is doing ripping Americans off with the help of the Saudi crown prince and his government. A government where if you speak out you’ll be imprisoned if not killed. Where there are only poor people and wealthy autocrats, the haves and the have-nots. And why many have left to elsewhere.
Whatever way you look at it it’s Donald Trump, once again, cozying up to a ruthless dictator, the crown prince of KSA. He venomously tries to protect and cover up his and his government’s crimes even in plain sight. Trump ripping into U.S. reporters threatening to strip them and their news media of their license if they try to hold the Saudi prince’s feet to the fire. But I get it. This is the gravy that’s made Trump and his family billionaires with billions worth in gifts and business propositions. The first time he was in office, and now with Trump’s second go around he just keeps getting richer with his involvements in the Middle East, at our expense in more ways than one. The wealth and opportunities for him and his family is limitless while he’s back in the White House and has power and control over our government and you don’t get something for nothing and that’s where it gets seriously dangerous for us and our country. With that said, and like it’s always been said, “One man’s friend is another man’s foe.”
No matter how much money and oil the Saudis have, for some, it’ll never be enough to compensate for what they did to us on 9/11.
