Two fatal traffic accidents in Bullhead City

BULLHEAD CITY – Fatal traffic accidents were reported about ten minutes apart Friday night in Bullhead City. Officers responded at 10:40 p.m. to a single vehicle rollover on Newberry Drive. Police Department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said two men were ejected from a 2010 Chevrolet pickup truck. Both Bullhead City residents were flown to University Medical Center in Las Vegas. 20-year-old Jafet Villalobos died at the hospital. Fromelt said 19-year-old Esteban Lopez remains at UMC in stable condition. The second accident reported at 10:50 p.m. occurred on Highway 95 near Retail Way. Parents urged to register students for school; Bullhead school year starting July 29

BULLHEAD CITY – Even though buildings remain closed to students, the 2020-2021 school year in Bullhead City still starts July 29 as distance learning, or online classes.  That means that registration for the new semester continues in person at all five K-8 campuses.  A separate registration is underway at Coyote Canyon School for the three sites offering preschool. Six arrested in MAGNET raid

TOPOCK – On Thursday, July 9, six people were arrested during a search warrant was conducted by Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement (MAGNET) in the 5000 block of E. Mesa Dr. in Topock. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office had received several complaints from citizens that the property was being used as a “flop house” with possible drug activity. Seven total subjects were removed from the residence at the beginning of the search warrant for questioning.
