October Greetings from Lydia Henry, Mohave County Recorder

lydia henry

As we enter October, the Mohave County Recorder’s Office is focused on serving residents and supporting our community during this important voting season. We’re pleased to share updates from the Recorder’s Office, voter registration information, and key dates for the upcoming General Election.

Recorder’s Office Updates

The Mohave County Recorder’s Office continues to improve public records access and strengthen the recording process. Beginning September 11, 2026, individuals recording documents in person must provide valid photo identification. Property sale or transfer documents must also include the most current Affidavit of Property Value required by the Arizona Department of Revenue.

The office recently celebrated two years of its free Recorded Document Alert System, which notifies residents when documents are recorded under their name or associated with their property.

Veterans are also encouraged to take advantage of free DD214 recordings for the safekeeping of their military records. For questions, call (928) 753-0701 or email RecorderHelp@mohave.gov

Voter Registration & General Election

With the General Election approaching, the Mohave County Recorder’s Office and Voter Registration Division are supporting voters with early voting by mail and in person. Voters are encouraged to make sure their registration information is current and review their voting options before Election Day on November 3.

A new Arizona law for the 2026 elections allows voters returning an early ballot in person to present valid identification. Once their identity is verified, the ballot can be marked “ID Verified,” eliminating the need for additional signature verification.

Residents can also help keep voter records accurate by writing “Return to Sender” on election mail for someone who no longer lives at the address or has passed away and returning it through the mail. General Election Early Voting Eligible voters may vote early at the following locations:

KINGMAN

3269 N. Burbank St., Monday–Friday, through Oct. 30 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Extended hours until 7 p.m. on Friday, October 30

BULLHEAD CITY

1170 Hancock Rd., Monday–Friday, through Oct. 30 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Extended hours until 7 p.m. on Friday, October 30

LAKE HAVASU CITY 1770 McCulloch Blvd. N., Monday–Friday, through Oct. 30 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Extended hours until 7 p.m. on Friday, October 30

The Voter Registration Division mails early ballots, operates early voting locations, processes returned ballots, and verifies signatures before securely transferring ballots to the Elections Department for tabulation.

Important Election Dates

• October 23 – Last day to request an early ballot by mail • October 30 – Last day to vote early in person

• November 3 – Election Day

If you receive an early ballot by mail, we encourage you to vote it early and return it promptly.

For questions about voter registration, early voting, or early ballots, contact the Voter Registration Division at 928-753-0767 or voterregistration@mohave.gov.
