KINGMAN, Ariz. – The ARC of Mohave County will host the 2nd Annual Autism and Special Needs Family Fun Fair, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, October 23 inside all three buildings at the Mohave County Fairgrounds, 2600 Fairgrounds Blvd.

There will be adaptive, interactive games, hands-on activities, local resource vendors, sensory-friendly spaces, raffles and food trucks. Everything is free, from vendor booth set ups to games and information, according to ARC Director Stacey Hadley.

Those attending will have the opportunity to connect with organizations that support individuals with Autism and other disabilities.

Everyone attending will also receive a free swag bag, Hadley said, filled with gifts and information.

“We’re so excited about this,” Hadley said. “Some autistic schools are coming; therapists are coming. Hadley said all three buildings at the fairgrounds will be used for the Family Fun Fair.

“It keeps growing. Everyone who hears about it wants to get involved.”

She said organizations were coming from Phoenix and Prescott to offer their help and provide information for families with autistic children and other disabilities.

“Our Board President, Marta Brotherton, said this is something she would have liked to see when her son was younger. We just want to put all resources in one building so families can be informed,” Hadley said. “We like to help our community. We have a great community. Together we can celebrate abilities, build meaningful connections, and create a stronger, more welcoming community for everyone,” said Brotherton.
