Calvary Chapel hosts 5th Annual Pumpkin Patch over the weekend in Kingman

KINGMAN, Ariz. – Calvary Chapel in Kingman presented the 5th Annual Pumpkin Patch Saturday, which is an outreach ministry of the church. It offers lots of games, a free pumpkin to every family, food trucks and bounce houses.

Calvary Chapel Pastor Bill Wilken said it has changed a lot over the past five years. He said crowds come in spurts. “Last year, we had about 300 show up at the same time. This year, I think the crowd is down because of the weather.”

Many brought their kids and grandkids out to experience what now seems to be a fall tradition in Kingman, in spite of the weather.

Everything offered at the Pumpkin Patch is free, including the many games like Ring Toss, Ax Throwing (with plastic axes), Hopscotch, Wheelbarrow Racing, and bounce houses. “Everything is free,” said Pastor Wilken.  “It’s a community outreach to let them know what we can do, to promote our radio station and church.”

Calvary Chapel is located at 500 Stowell Avenue in Kingman. Service times are 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. every Sunday morning, 928-753-3730.
