Bullhead schools switch to neighborhood delivery for meal program; RVHS meals to remain on site

BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Elementary School District’s free meal program will move from “grab-and-go” pick-ups at four campuses to delivery by school bus at several dozen stops around the community.  The move is effective Monday (April 6). Free breakfasts and lunches will continue to be available during campus closures for all students 18 and under, regardless of where they attend school, noted BCESD Superintendent Carolyn Stewart. A companion meal program for River Valley High School students in and around Mohave Valley will remain on campus. One death, 17 positive COVID-19 cases in Mohave County

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 4, 2020) Mohave County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) has been notified tonight of two additional COVID-19 positive cases.  One out of these is from the Lake Havasu City area, who is epidemiologically linked to a previously identified Mohave County case.  The other is a case in the Kingman area. Both individuals are adults and are isolating and recovering at their homes. Nurses have begun the contact investigations on both cases. Honeywell to produce over 6 million N95 masks for Arizona

PHOENIX⁠ — Governor Doug Ducey today, April 4, announced the state has secured a new agreement with Honeywell to produce over 6 million N95 masks for the state of Arizona over the next 12 months. Upon production of the masks, the Arizona Department of Health Services will deliver them to county health departments for further distribution to health, safety, and emergency response workers. The agreement follows a Monday announcement by Honeywell that it is adding manufacturing capabilities in Phoenix to produce N95 face masks in support of response efforts to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Order allows certain prescription refills without having to see a doctor

Avoid trips for elderly and vulnerable patients Many elderly and at-risk Arizonans are coming up on a dilemma: schedule a potentially risky appointment with a doctor to refill a prescription or go without needed medication.  An Executive Order issued by Governor Doug Ducey today provides a solution by allowing pharmacists to dispense emergency refills of maintenance medications for a 90-day supply and an additional 90-day supply if needed.
