BULLHEAD CITY – Fire Marshal Jim Dykens has retired from Bullhead Fire after 42 years in the fire service. Chief Dykens began his fire service career in October 1977 in the United States Air Force. Serving as an active-duty firefighter for eight years, then serving for the Air Force as a civilian firefighter for nine years. Dear Editor, The Greenhouse effect is not feasible because Co2 does not hold heat for long periods of time when separated from it’s heat source. Much of air pollution that is emitted falls to the ground, becomes smog, and is absorbed into the ground. Much of it is also dissipated and diluted by air. Raw Co2 is therefore the prominent chemical element. As stated before, Co2 does not trap heat for long after being separated from it’s heat source, almost immediately in fact. Mohave County Sheriff K-9 Foundation Board Member Ray McCool is all smiles after receiving a $1,000 check from Jessi Brent and Dan Nemphos, owners of the T-Mobile store in Kingman, on Saturday, Dec. 28. Brant and Nemphos, residents of Bullhead City, donated $1,000 to the K-9 Foundation to be used for the purchase of new K-9s, K-9 training schools.
