Amendments to deer, small game hunts also available for review  PHOENIX —  The Arizona Game and Fish Department’s 2020 hunt recommendations for bighorn sheep and migratory birds, as well as some 2020 deer and small-game hunts, are  available for review online at www.azgfd.gov/huntguidelines. The department annually makes recommendations to the Arizona Game and Fish Commission regarding the management of game species, which establish the seasons, dates, bag limits, open areas and permit-tag allocations based on the framework of the hunt guidelines set by the Commission.  The proposed recommendations will be presented to the Commission for consideration during its April 17 meeting….

New stops added for weekly instructional packet delivery in Bullhead City

BULLHEAD CITY – Two new stops are being added for parents who pick up and drop off instructional packets for children in the Bullhead City Elementary School District.  The new stops are on Route K, and will be at Surf & Sand and Seafair, and at Vader and Harbor.  Both are in the neighborhood west of Coyote Canyon School.  Other existing stops on the route will be pushed back about 10 to 15 minutes.  “We’ve heard from parents in the neighborhood west of Lakeside between Hancock and Marina, and we’ve listened,” said BCESD Superintendent Carolyn Stewart. “We want to make…

LAKE HAVASU CITY -Friday evening, April 3, MCDPH-Nursing received notification of a positive COVID-19 test result in the Lake Havasu City area. The patient, an adult, is currently hospitalized. Our nurses will initiate the case investigation and identify close contacts. There are now a total of 13confirmed cases in Mohave County, six in Lake Havasu City, two in Bullhead City, and five in Kingman. Mohave County Public Health Director Denise Burley says “These additional increases in positive cases across the county indicates a stronger presence of COVID-19 in our communities. MCC nursing students and health profession programs donating assistance and supplies to local hospitals

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College students and employees are doing their part to help local health institutions in need of medical supplies during the Coronavirus pandemic. MCC’s Allied Health and Nursing programs have donated medical materials to assist local hospitals during the pandemic and nursing students are volunteering to help patients at hospitals in Kingman, Bullhead City, Fort Mohave and Lake Havasu City.
