13th positive COVID-19 confirmed in Mohave County

LAKE HAVASU CITY -Friday evening, April 3, MCDPH-Nursing received notification of a positive COVID-19 test result in the Lake Havasu City area. The patient, an adult, is currently hospitalized. Our nurses will initiate the case investigation and identify close contacts.

There are now a total of 13confirmed cases in Mohave County, six in Lake Havasu City, two in Bullhead City, and five in Kingman.

Mohave County Public Health Director Denise Burley says “These additional increases in positive cases across the county indicates a stronger presence of COVID-19 in our communities. The county will begin providing aggregate case data (age ranges, gender) for Mohave County cases beginning at the close of the day on Monday.

Meanwhile,  Burley added that, “It is of utmost importance for all residents and visitors to stay home unless absolutely necessary, practice good hygiene, and engage in physical distancing (6 ft.). We must work individually and as a community to keep our case numbers down. ”
