Nancy Griffith Terhaar

March 12, 1948 – May 29, 2026

Nancy, age 78, died May 29, 2026, at the St. Cloud Hospital in Sedan, Minnesota. Nancy was the first of three children to Carl and Billie Jean Griffith. Nancy grew up in Kingman and graduated from Kingman High School in 1966. She later continued her education at the University of Minnesota, Morris where she earned a degree in teaching. After high school she worked for Thomas Temp for 10 years in California.

On July 3, 1997, Nancy was united in marriage to Timothy Terhar in Sisseton, North Dakota. Together they made their home outside Sedan, Minnesota where they built a life filled with love, companionship and family.

Nancy is survived by her husband Tim Terhaar and her son Darrin Bracken; stepsons Benjamin (Erin) Terhaar and Adam (Rachel) Terhaar; stepdaughter Christina Terhaar; and her beloved grandchildren Amelia, Olivia, Silas, Chelsea, Daniel, Avery and Rhett. She also is survived by niece Janell Abramham and other family who will miss her deeply.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Carl “Bud” Griffith, her sister Susan Barbour, and nephew Blake Barbour.

A Celebration of Life potluck will be at Upton B&B, 9035 DW Ranch Road, on June 27, 2026 at 11 a.m. There is limited seating so please RSVP by calling 928-897-2395 or 928-530-2911.
