Mother to testify against father in toddler death case

KINGMAN – A Lake Havasu City woman intends to testify against the man who fathered the child they’re accused of killing a little more than two years ago. Brittany Rodriquez, 27, and Andrew Lamorie, 24, both remain jailed awaiting trial involving the January 2018 death of 27-month old Gabriella Lamorie. An autopsy determined that Gabriella suffered blunt force head and neck trauma and her death was ruled a homicide. Blanchard sentenced to 14 years for armed robbery, negligent homicide

KINGMAN – A 14-year prison term was ordered Monday for a Golden Valley teenager who pled guilty to armed robbery and negligent homicide in separate criminal cases. Marcus Blanchard, 18, was sentenced by Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle. During a March 4 change of plea hearing, prosecutor Bob Moon told the court that Blanchard was 16 years old in March, 2018 when he tried to take a bag of marijuana from a person in a vehicle outside a party in the 3500 block of North Bonita Road. KINGMAN – A serial arsonist entered a plea agreement during a Tuesday settlement conference in Kingman. 40-year-old Charlie Balluff decided to take a deal after Judge Billy Sipe explained he was looking at a 30- to 100-year prison term if convicted of 22 criminal charges at trial. Deputy Kingman Police Chief Rusty Cooper said Balluff had been connected to more than 400 Kingman area arson incidents dating back to 2013 when he was arrested last June. Bullhead City services modified due to COVID-19 concerns

BULLHEAD CITY – Based on discussions with the Mohave County Public Health Department and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the State of Arizona, the City of Bullhead City is modifying a number of City services due to the nationwide Covid-19 emergency: 1.      The Bullhead City Senior Center and all of its associated activities have been cancelled until further notice. 2.      The Bullhead City Nutrition Center will be modifying food delivery services.
