Seven charges dismissed in underage sex sting plea

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A Lake Havasu City man who was snared in an undercover investigation targeting adults seeking sex with underage girls is going to the Arizona Department of Corrections under terms of a plea agreement entered Friday in Mohave County Superior Court. Dean Tarnow, 46, is one of more than 20 men from Las Vegas to Parker who ended up indicted through an operation involving a Mohave County Sheriff’s detective who pretended to be a teenager. MOHAVE COUNTY – The victim/witness advocate program administered by the Mohave County Attorney’s office is always looking for citizen volunteers to support its mission throughout northwest Arizona. Advocates frequently assist those who experience tragic loss or are victimized by crime. “We walk into people’s trauma at the worst time in their lives. Soltz acquitted in molestation case

KINGMAN – A man accused of sex offenses involving his underage stepdaughter at separate homes in Kingman a few years ago was fully acquitted at trial in Mohave County Superior Court. The jury deliberated less than an hour Thursday before returning not guilty verdicts in the case against Wallace Soltz, 37. Soltz was charged with a total of seven counts of child molestation and sexual conduct with a minor. Ohlemacher takes plea in drug case; faces five years

BULLHEAD CITY – A Bullhead City woman resolving her drug case through a plea agreement will be going to the Arizona Department of Corrections for five years. The punishment for Destiny Ohlemacher, 27, is prescribed in the deal entered Thursday in Mohave County Superior Court in Kingman. Prosecutor Jacob Cote told Judge Rick Lambert that Ohlemacher was a passenger in a vehicle from which one pound of methamphetamine was seized following a January 30 traffic stop in the 600 block of Highway 95. “The defendant admitted trading methamphetamine for heroin,” Cote told the Court.
