KINGMAN – A vehicle struck a law enforcement officer and two patrol vehicles were struck but no injuries were reported during a wild chase that ended in Kingman Monday afternoon. KINGMAN – A convicted sex offender from Bullhead City who is already serving more than a century long prison term was given more time behind bars during a Friday sentencing hearing in Kingman. Michael Barrett was previously convicted of ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor for cell phone possession of images  of children engaged in various acts of pornography. Barrett, in a second case, had also been charged with three counts of child molestation involving three female teenagers under the age of 15. KINGMAN – The case of a convicted killer who sexually tortured his wife and stepson four years ago ended Friday with a life prison sentence and a strong rebuke by a local judge. The wheelchair-bound Jerry Gilligan, 72, is not eligible for release from the Arizona Department of Corrections for 167.5 years. “You are simply pure evil,” Judge Billy Sipe told Gilligan. “You are now going to spend the rest of your life in prison and society will be much better off.” Gilligan was released from prison in 2014 after serving 25 years for the murder of his stepfather in…

Blanchard allegedly committed violent robbery, was driver in fatal crash KINGMAN – A plea agreement has been entered for a teenager held responsible for separate fatal traffic accident and violent robbery incidents in Golden Valley. Marcus Blanchard, 18, pleaded guilty Wednesday to armed robbery and negligent homicide. Prosecutor Bob Moon told the Court that Blanchard was just 16 years old when other juveniles were scared he was driving too fast before he lost control and crashed a vehicle on State Route 68 in May, 2018. A deputy suffered minor leg injuries after a law enforcement vehicle pursuit from La Paz County ventured north into Mohave County Wednesday, Feb. 4. Spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said the Mohave County Sheriff’s office was notified at 7:20 p.m. that the  chase of a 2016 Mini Cooper entered south Mohave County near the Bill Williams Bridge on Highway 95.   Mortensen said the suspect vehicle entered and quickly exited Cattail Cove State Park where a La Paz County sheriff’s deputy was staged near the entrance.    “The deputy positioned himself outside of his vehicle attempting to stop the suspect,” Mortensen said. “During…
