MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 21, 2020) – A third positive COVID-19 case today has been confirmed in the Lake Havasu City service area. The individual in the 65+ age range and is currently hospitalized. There are now 23 positive confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City area, including the three deaths, 33 in Kingman, and 6 in Bullhead City.
KINGMAN – Random gunfire disturbed the peace in several north Kingman neighborhoods early Saturday, April 18. Mohave County Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said deputies first responded at 12:26 a.m. to a report of gunfire near a home in the vicinity of Norrie Dr. and Shaeffer Ave. “Multiple other calls from nearby residences were received while deputies were responding,” Mortensen said. “The Kingman Police Department had advised of a similar incident in another part of town and advised a grey-colored truck was involved with multiple occupants in the cab and more occupants in the truck bed.” Deputies reportedly collected shell…
MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 20, 2020) – The Mohave County Health Department MCDPH-Nursing staff was notified this morning of two positive COVID-19 cases. The first is in the Lake Havasu City service area and the second is the Bullhead City service area. Both persons are in the 65+ age range and both are isolating and recovering at home. The Lake Havasu City case is epidemiologically-linked to another case. MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Health Department MCDPH-Nursing staff was notified over the weekend of the death of one of the (previously identified) hospitalized COVID-19 positive cases in the Lake Havasu City service area. The individual was in the 65+ age range. This case was not epidemiologically-linked to another case, nor was it travel-related. This death is among the 55 total positives in Mohave County. MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has identified men who were killed in separate shooting incidents in rural Mohave County communities on Wednesday, April 15. Some additional details are provided in news releases issued Friday. The suspected burglar who was killed in Dolan Springs has been identified as Alan Marc Baker, 51. Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said Baker exited a home he had allegedly burgled when he fired his rifle at neighbors outside Wednesday afternoon. Mortensen said Baker was struck when the neighbors returned fire. Baker fled but was discovered dead in the nearby desert….

Both individuals are in the 20-44 age range, in isolation and recovering at home.
