Dear Editor, It’s very annoying when you need to contact a ride to your medical appointments, etc. You shouldn’t have to deal with unnecessary nonsense. Years back you didn’t have this retarded automated voice system. But now it’s hard for people such as myself to get a ride without dealing with repeating my date of birth or the yes, etc. That also goes for trying to contact the pharmacy. CDBG funds hearing open to the public

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County is expected to receive approximately $812,740 in FY2024 Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the Arizona Department of Housing Regional Account (RA). Mohave County also intends to apply for $500,000 in FY2024 and FY2025 competitive CDBG funds from the State Special Project (SSP) account. Bullhead business destroyed in blaze

BULLHEAD CITY – No one was injured in a Sunday fire that destroyed a commercial building in Bullhead City. Firefighters responded at 12:40 p.m. to what was initially reported as a brush fire on Outpost Dr. Arriving personnel encountered a working commercial fire with heavy, black smoke emanating from the Daniells Septic structure. “The fire quickly spread through the building,” a news release said. “Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the main structure with assistance from the Mohave Valley Fire Department, For Mojave Mesa Fire Department and the BCFD CERT team.” Mohave Electric Cooperative and Southwest Gas technicians…

Drugs, firearm seized in burglary investigation

FT. MOHAVE – The Mohave County sheriff’s office reports one arrest as well as the seizure of a stolen firearm and drugs stemming from a Dec. 18 search related to a burglary investigation. Spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said 4.5 grams of methamphetamine, 3.1 grams of illegal mushrooms, 30 pills and drug paraphernalia items were confiscated during the search of the Fort Mohave home in the 5400 block of Jack Rabbit Drive.
