Drugs, firearm seized in burglary investigation

FT. MOHAVE – The Mohave County sheriff’s office reports one arrest as well as the seizure of a stolen firearm and drugs stemming from a Dec. 18 search related to a burglary investigation. Spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said 4.5 grams of methamphetamine, 3.1 grams of illegal mushrooms, 30 pills and drug paraphernalia items were confiscated during the search of the Fort Mohave home in the 5400 block of Jack Rabbit Drive. Mortensen said a number of subjects contacted in the residence may face drug charges through continuing investigation. LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is accepting proposals for the available Special Recreation Permits (SRP), which are valid December 1, 2024, through February 28, 2025, for two competitive off-highway races on the Parker Racecourse. Applications will be accepted through March 1, 2024. All interested applicants must submit a complete SRP application package which includes: SRP application form (Form 2930-1); operating plan addressing topics covered in the guidelines; and topographic maps addressing desired event course. Deputy Police Chief Joel Freed said Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) detectives were searching the rural community for Edward Angelo regarding arrest warrants and his alleged involvement in several violent crimes.
