Humvee thief gets 12.5 years

KINGMAN – A man who drew police gunfire that injured no one after stealing a vehicle from a Mohave County property in Kingman is going to the Arizona Department of Corrections for 12.5 years. The punishment for Michael Lapeer, 26, Kingman is mandated in a plea agreement that also resolves probation violations. COVID-19 update: 30 new cases, one death

MOHAVE COUNTY – Late Sunday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of  30 new COVID-19 positive confirmed cases and one death. Nineteen of the cases are in the Bullhead City service area; 9 are in the Kingman service area; two are in the Lake Havasu City service area. The one death reported is a 60-69 year age range person, a previously reported case in the Kingman area. Of the 19 Bullhead City area cases, 12 cases remain under investigation. LHC temporarily closing western entrance to London Bridge Beach Park

LAKE HAVASU CITY – As the City works towards bringing reclaimed water to the London Bridge Beach Park for irrigation purposes, there will be a need to perform a two-day closure on consecutive days to allow for pipe installation across the western entrance of the London Bridge Beach access road for seamless pipe installation to occur.
