Kirby Family and KRMC combine efforts to help the community

KINGMAN – The community comes out to help the community during the holidays again. The Kirby family (in a partnership with the Kingman Regional Medical Center Foundation) and nearly 100 volunteers from throughout the Kingman area helped feed the hungry, lonely or anyone who needed a bite to eat on Christmas Day. On Thanksgiving Day, John Kirby, working with the KRMC kitchen staff, prepared nearly 200 meals pre-cooked and prepackaged meals for an assortment of residents and families in the Kingman area including Golden Valley and Dolan Springs. Ex-con going back to prison on drug charges

KINGMAN – An ex-con residing in Golden Valley is being sent back to the Arizona Department of Corrections for his admitted involvement in sale of methamphetamine. Mohave County Judge Billy Sipe ordered a 15-year prison term Tuesday for John Holcomb, 57. Holcomb is one of roughly two dozen defendants indicted for their alleged involvement in two Kingman-based Drug Trafficking Organizations (DTO’s) that were the focus of the multi-agency Operation King Crimson investigation. Judge Sipe called Holcomb’s a very serious conspiracy case connected to a large-scale methamphetamine distribution ring. Video visitation operations at MC Jail

KINGMAN – The Mohave County Adult Detention Facility has started utilizing video visitation. All on-site video visitations were halted on April 1 because of COVID-19 concerns. The public lobby has remained open 24/7 to allow contact with staff at the bond window and to allow access to the lobby kiosk to facilitate bond and other transactions, however no on-site video visitation was permitted. “Earlier this year, we renewed the inmate telephone contract which introduced a new video visitation system that allows for remote video visitation capabilities.
