KINGMAN – The City of Kingman Public Works Department will do the last phase of its ongoing chip sealing project in District 4 this upcoming week. This project is part of the City’s ongoing roadway maintenance program aimed at extending the life of existing pavement and improving neighborhood streets. Work will take place each day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Work will begin on Tuesday, June 9, through Friday, June 12, starting at Kiersten Avenue and Zubia Street, with crews progressing north to south throughout the designated work area. To help crews complete the work safely and efficiently, residents are asked to avoid on-street parking in active work zones during construction hours. Vehicles left parked on streets scheduled for chip sealing may delay operations or restrict access for equipment. Access within the work area will be limited to local traffic only, and drivers should expect temporary lane restrictions, reduced speed limits, and possible travel delays throughout the project area
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes when available and follow all posted signage and traffic control devices to ensure the safety of workers and the traveling public.
Street sweeping will continue throughout the work area the following week. This will have no impact to local traffic.
