KINGMAN, Ariz. – A Lake Havasu City teenager has entered a plea agreement to resolve his child pornography case without need of trial. Tiberius Sass, 19, pleaded guilty Aug. 28 to four charges reduced to attempted sexual exploitation of a minor.

Six counts of sexual exploitation of a minor are dismissed in the deal.

A news release issued in May indicated that a cyber tip that the National Center for Missing Exploited Children forwarded to the Lake Havasu City Police Department led to Sass’s arrest on May 14, following warrant-based search activity involving his online communications and social media platforms. Sass was booked into the Adult Detention Facility in Kingman on 10 sexual exploitation of a minor charges.

Deputy Mohave County Attorney Carlos Lopez described video content on Sass’s electronic devices for the conviction counts involving adults engaged in various sexual activities with minors, one of them an infant. Lopez told Judge Billy Sipe that Sass conceded his interest in children when interviewed by detectives.

Terms of the deal require lifetime probation, with the possibility of some county jail time or up to 10 years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled Oct. 1.
