KINGMAN – Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) CEO, Will McConnell, has expressed a commitment to continue allowing visitation for hospitalized patients – despite the surge of COVID-19 cases in our community. During the COVID lockdown last spring, KRMC closed to all visitors. In August, the hospital resumed a limited visitation policy with specific safety protocols. Heroin dealer takes plea agreement

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A Peoria woman who allegedly sold large quantities of heroin and counterfeit pills throughout Lake Havasu City will go to the Arizona Department of Corrections under terms of a plea agreement entered Tuesday. Summer Parkerson, 34, faces a 3–5-year prison term in the deal convicting her of possession of narcotic drugs for sale. An identical count and other drug related charges are dismissed in the agreement. Judge Doug Camacho scheduled a Jan. 28 sentencing hearing. Eleanor Velderrain, of Kingman, died Monday, December 28, 2020. She was 75. Mrs. Velderrain was born Oct. 4, 1945 in Germany. A service will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Kingman. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery. The family contact is her husband Daniel Ray Velderrain. Arrangements were made by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.

BULLHEAD CITY – The company that operates the Moss Mine outside Bullhead City has agreed to pay a former contractor to resolve a legal dispute. The Northern Vertex Mining Corp. has announced its Golden Vertex Corp. subsidiary will pay $250,000 to M.C. Donegan LLC, a firm that previously provided drilling and blasting services at the gold and silver mine. M.C.
