Vegas man drowned at Lake Havasu

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A Las Vegas man drowned over the weekend at Lake Havasu. Mohave County Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said public safety personnel from several agencies responded at 3:01 p.m. Saturday when it was reported that a man went missing in the area of Thompson Bay. “A firefighter with the Lake Havasu City Fire Department located the missing male on the lake bottom about 25 feet offshore and in about seven feet of water,” Mortensen said. “Fire personnel along with MCSO deputies and Lake Havasu City police officers pulled the male to shore and began CPR and…

Bridge Deck Maintenance Starting June 8

KINGMAN – A project on the Hualapai Mountain Road bridge decks will begin Monday, June 8, and continue through June 26, 2020. The city will be completing concrete deck maintenance and joint seals. During this time, Hualapai Mountain Rd. will be restricted to one lane in each direction. The traffic control will remain in place throughout the duration of the project. Open swim sessions offered at Aquatic Center

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Looking for some family fun this summer?  The Aquatic Center is offering open swim sessions Monday through Saturday, starting Monday, June 8th. Weekly session are available from 11:30a.m. to 2:00p.m., 2:30p.m. to 5:00p.m. and a  Saturday session from 12:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. It is our goal to create an environment focused on protocols that protect everyone who enters the Aquatic Center for open swim.
