Travis ran a commendable campaign, has achieved a great thing for himself, and I hope to witness him working with the four other Supervisors do significant and noteworthy things for Mohave County’s residents, current and new businesses, and visitors of today and for those of tomorrow. Obviously, I wish that the outcome was different but the 32% of Mohave County’s…

Readers urged to call

Dear Editor, Mitch McConnell finally released his proposal this week. I’m sure you’re not surprised, but the proposal is bad. Simply put, it does not match the scale of the crisis. What McConnell is proposing for families and public education is woefully inadequate given the expenses schools are facing to reopen safely and people are facing just to stay afloat. It falls dramatically short by ignoring what schools need to reopen safely and, instead, prioritizes the President’s political agenda, tying the funding to in-person instruction and diverting money for private school vouchers. There is no money for states and no…

Reader against transgender, abortion rights

Dear Editor, First of all I am not a Republican or a Democrat. I vote for who I think will do the most good for America. Donald Trump brought jobs back, the stock market was the best its ever been. He stood up to other nations who would destroy us, got out of the deal with Iran which was a bad mistake of Obama and Biden. He stands with Israel which without a doubt is our best friend, everything was going great until the virus hit us. And now the Democratic party is even blaming him for that. I agree…

Your vote has an impact

Dear Editor, Well, we are at a point where we will be making very important decisions about our future as a nation. Many of our elected officials, are sitting on the fence, watching America be destroyed from within, our own people. Our Trojan Horse. If you are not familiar with this story, look it up. It’s what is going on now. Our Elected officials are sitting back, gleefully anticipating the demise of our government so they can take over America and finally get the power they crave. Opening a Pandora’s box in the hope to finally boot President Trump out…

Whose Life Doesn’t Matter?

Dear Editor, I understand and affirm that black lives matter. Some of my dearest friends are black people. I love them and they matter. There are many black people, who I do not know, but they matter just the same. Red people matter. Yellow people matter. Brown people matter. White people matter. Coalminers, butchers, factory workers, plumbers, bakers, carpenters, waiters, cooks, physicians, attorneys, politicians, ditch diggers, ministers, writers, journalists, actors, sports heroes, laboratory researchers, pharmaceutical companies, nurses, secretaries, schoolteachers, EMTs, veterans, and service men and women, representing us in our branches of service, matter.   Of course, the list goes on and…
