Take over of America

Dear Editor, The following information in part is from an article by Jeff Rense. On January 10, 1963, the House of Representatives and Senate began reviewing a document, “Communist Goals for Taking Over America.” This list was put in the congressional record. The following list is the majority of a list of this agenda. It was quite shocking then and equally stunning today in 2020. As you read through this list, never forget that about 100% have been implemented. Did our representatives ever take this seriously or just put it aside? We better take it seriously for our children and…

Dear Editor, The Katheryn Heidenreich Adult Center is excited to be opened again serving our participants and the community with programs where social distancing is possible. A good bicycle ride

Dear Editor, I’ve been a bicycle rider my whole life. Fifty years ago, this month I was riding my bike about six miles round trip to Bible school at Tomahawk, Kentucky. I did so for an entire week. During the week I was one of several young people who prayed the prayer to receive Christ. On Sunday morning in 90-degree July heat I put on the best clothes I owned and rode my Western Auto yellow three speed bike almost five miles one way over two mountain hills to Inez, Kentucky. I was a bit wet with sweat after that…

Dolan resident does not support Cass, Berg

Dear Editor, The LMRFD is supported by a few thousand taxpayers in Dolan Springs and Meadview. Its two-personnel cover fire and EMS service for a 3300 sq. mi. area, including 100+ miles of State Hwy and county roads servicing traffic to the Grand Canyon Skywalk. Taxpayers are frequently left with no fire or EMS coverage while their ambulance runs calls on Highway 93. It is essential that the LMRFD include volunteers on its roster for any hope of fire or EMS service for those who foot the bill! There must be funding included for volunteer training/support. Chair Debora Cass actively…

State of the nation is alarming

Dear Editor, When my kids were little, I would get a kick out of watching them imitate each other. The oldest would start and the youngest, being five years younger, would follow. It was fun watching them help each other. Doing homework, I would hear the older one try and explain his homework to his brother and how to print the letters he was working on. One by one they worked on the alphabet together. When it came to cursive writing, it proved to be challenging for his younger brother but, together, they worked through it. Because of this “head…
