KINGMAN, Ariz. – The City of Kingman invites the community to celebrate a new mural created through a collaboration between the Kingman Youth Advisory Council, local volunteer artists, and community partners with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, November 5, at 4 p.m. The mural is located on the wall behind Walmart, directly in front of the Mohave Wash.
Once an eyesore marked by graffiti and vandalism, the wall has been transformed into a vibrant work of art that brings new life and color to the area. The project was made possible through the dedication of the Kingman Youth Advisory Council and talented local artists, Santana Block, Willow Kroenke, and Hector Pedroza, who generously volunteered their time and artistic abilities to turn a neglected space into something the entire community can enjoy. The project also received generous support through donations and sponsorships from Walmart, Origin Mining Company, Preston Investments, Martin Swanty, American Woodmark, Vision Landscaping, A-1 Tractor, and Bulldog Disposal.
The mural serves as an example of how youth leadership, creativity, and community partnerships can make a positive and lasting impact. The City of Kingman extends its appreciation to everyone involved in bringing this project to life and helping beautify the community.
Community members are encouraged to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony, view the completed mural, and recognize those who helped make this transformation possible. Those wishing to attend may gather near the mural wall behind Walmart and in front of the Mohave Wash. Attendees may park at Walmart and walk down to the mural or park at the Mohave County Library and walk over to the ceremony.
