Mohave County Jail video visitation suspended

MOHAVE COUNTY – Due to the possible COVID-19 health concerns and Governor Ducey’s recent “Stay at Home” order, the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility will stop conducting inmate video visitation at the close of the day on Wednesday, April 1. The Sheriff’s Office had previously closed its main office and substation lobbies last week, March 26. The jail bond window and lobby will continue to remain open 24 hours a day seven days a week which will allow the public to walk in add money to inmates trust accounts using the lobby kiosk and to conduct bond and other related…

BULLHEAD CITY – An April 16 sentencing hearing has been scheduled for an elderly Bullhead City man who expressed confusion during a recent change of plea hearing in Kingman. William Forshey, 82, reluctantly pleaded guilty to aggravated assault for attacking a health care worker while he was being treated last October at a medical facility in the 2700 block of Silvercreek Road. “I didn’t do a thing,” Forshey said during one portion of the hearing. “I have a problem thinking clearly since all this has happened.” Prosecutor Karolina Czaplinska said Forshey became violent when he was a patient in the…
