Officer-involved shooting under investigation

KINGMAN – Nobody was injured in an officer-involved shooting incident in Kingman late Sunday, May 10. Kingman Police Chief Rusty Cooper said the gunfire occurred about 11:30 p.m. in the vicinity of the Jack In The Box restaurant off Andy Devine Avenue.

Cooper said one male suspect was taken into custody. No further details were provided.
The Bullhead City police department is conducting an independent review, which is customary in officer-involved shootings.
Bullhead City police department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt confirmed the involvement of her agency and said a press release will issue later today.
