BEAVER DAM – A 9-year-old boy was arrested after threatening to shoot up his elementary school in the north Mohave County community of Beaver Dam. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) began investigating Tuesday, April 16 after learning a juvenile posted the threat to social media. MCSO spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said deputies identified and questioned the responsible party. KINGMAN – A year and two days after the tragic deaths of two Kingman teenagers and serious injuries of two others in a high speed traffic accident, Brady Shuffler was arrested and jailed following an all-day sentencing hearing at the Mohave County Law & Justice Center Monday. The 17-year-old was escorted by detention officers shortly after Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Suzanne Nicholls imposed an 18-year prison sentence. KINGMAN – Ian Grimes used a testimonial plea agreement as a get out of jail free card, but the convicted sex offender will still have consequences for possessing electronically transmitted videos and images of child pornography. Ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor are dismissed in exchange for the conviction of Ian Grimes, 37, on a single count of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor. BULLHEAD CITY – An investigation of illegal drug sale activity in Bullhead City produced seizure and arrest on April 8. A warrant-based search was conducted at a residence in the 800 block of Turney Dr. “Detectives located approximately 35 grams of powder fentanyl, approximately 37.7 grams (about 350 pills) of blue M-30 counterfeit fentanyl, .6 grams of methamphetamine, multiple drug paraphernalia items and a Hi-Point 9mm handgun,” a press release said. LAKE HAVASU CITY – A Lake Havasu City man is resolving his child pornography case in a plea agreement that will send him to the Arizona Department of Corrections. Casey Cassidy, 30, pleaded guilty Thursday, April 4 to two counts reduced to attempted sexual exploitation of a minor.
