BULLHEAD CITY – A Bullhead City woman will go to the Arizona Department of Corrections after pleading guilty in a fatal traffic accident. Deputy Mohave County Attorney Jacob Cote said 51-year-old Lidia Tapia was intoxicated by alcohol and had methamphetamine in her system when the Camry she was operating rear-ended a Ford Expedition on Highway 68 in Golden Valley in Oct., 2022. The driver of the other vehicle, Michael Bunes, 51, Golden Valley, was dead at the scene of the accident. NEEDLES, Calif. – The Bureau of Land Management is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to justice for the ongoing investigation of the shooting and killing of 19 wild burros. The animals were found along Interstate 15 between Baker, California and Primm, Nevada on August 13, 2019. BULLHEAD CITY – An assault on the Fox Creek Junior High School campus may lead to criminal charges against at least one student, and disciplinary action against a number of others, school officials announced Thursday.  Initial reports indicate that one girl had planned in advance to attack another, and arranged for a group of students to not only witness but also record the assault Thursday afternoon. KINGMAN – A Kingman teenager has been incarcerated for a Jan. 30 shooting. Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) personnel responded at about 8 p.m. to a report that a suspect had fled the 3600 block of Northfield Ave. where a male had been shot in the head. The victim was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center and was in critical condition when flown to a Las Vegas trauma facility for further treatment.
