MOHAVE COUNTY – The Kingman Police Department (KPD) is providing additional details of an officer-involved shooting that injured no one and resulted in the arrest of the suspect in Dolan Springs on Wednesday, Dec. 20. Deputy Police Chief Joel Freed said Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) detectives were searching the rural community for Edward Angelo regarding arrest warrants and his alleged involvement in several violent crimes. Mom of deceased son, abused daughter takes prison plea

KINGMAN – A Kingman woman is going to the Arizona Department of Corrections after pleading guilty in the abuse of her two teenagers, one who died and the other who was placed in care of the state following the discovery of her discarded brother’s body in early 2022. Amber-Leah Valentine, 42, pleaded guilty Monday, Dec. 18 to separate counts of felony child abuse by domestic violence. KINGMAN – A 22-year prison term was ordered Friday for one of two Yucca residents charged in the shooting death of a Kingman man. It was three years less than the possible maximum punishment under terms of a plea agreement convicting Shannon Powell, 23, of second-degree murder. Powell told authorities that co-defendant Bryan Gibson, 52, first shot Brandon Parlanti, 50, after the Kingman man drove to Yucca to confront Gibson in a drug dispute. BULLHEAD CITY – A vape store employee was arrested after firing shots at a shoplifter who fled the Bullhead City business on Monday, Dec. 18.
