Wounded suspect returned to Kingman

KINGMAN – A Kingman man wounded by gunfire in an officer-involved shooting has been returned to Arizona for prosecution. 39-year-old Andrew Romero is held in the Mohave County Adult Detention Center awaiting trial. Authorities said Romero was shot when officers responding to Dec. 29, 2023 domestic disturbance report encountered the shotgun brandishing subject who did not comply with police commands outside a home in the 1700 block of Golden Gate Ave. Romero was treated for his wound at a hospital in Las Vegas hospital and he was returned to Kingman on Feb. 7. LAKE HAVASU CITY – A man who repeatedly fled police in Lake Havasu City Monday reportedly suffered fatal injuries in a collision with a large motorhome. Ortiz pleads ‘not guilty’ in traffic fatality

KINGMAN – A Kingman man entered not guilty pleas during his Monday arraignment for first degree murder and other charges related to a deadly Jan. 26 traffic accident. Authorities allege that Juan Ortiz, 44, was fleeing pursuing law enforcement officers when the vehicle he was driving struck a civilian vehicle at the intersection of Bank St. and Northern Ave. The driver of the second vehicle, Sarah Bingham, 21, Kingman, died of her injuries. Bryant pleads guilty to killing retired couple

KINGMAN – A man who murdered a retired Bullhead City couple who once employed him at their former business in California won’t likely enjoy freedom again. Aaron Bryant, 31, pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder during a Feb. 7 hearing before Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle.
