Deputy Mohave County Attorney Jacob Cote said 51-year-old Lidia Tapia was intoxicated by alcohol and had methamphetamine in her system when the Camry she was operating rear-ended a Ford Expedition on Highway 68 in Golden Valley in Oct., 2022. NEEDLES, Calif. – The Bureau of Land Management is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to justice for the ongoing investigation of the shooting and killing of 19 wild burros. The animals were found along Interstate 15 between Baker, California and Primm, Nevada on August 13, 2019. BLM law enforcement identified two vehicles of interest and want to speak with the owners of a gray or silver 2008 Toyota extended cab pickup with flared fenders and a brush guard, and a white 2008 Toyota extended cab pickup with a white camper shell, white rims, sunroof, and brush guard.  Video…

BULLHEAD CITY – An assault on the Fox Creek Junior High School campus may lead to criminal charges against at least one student, and disciplinary action against a number of others, school officials announced Thursday.  Initial reports indicate that one girl had planned in advance to attack another, and arranged for a group of students to not only witness but also record the assault Thursday afternoon. It took a faculty member almost 30 seconds to stop the assault due to being blocked by a circle of student onlookers.  The victim was treated by school staff, and family members were notified…

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A Lake Havasu City man admitted he detonated a box of fireworks at the front entrance of the Lake Havasu City Police Department (LHCPD) early in the new year. Surveillance cameras at the facility located at 2360 McCulloch Boulevard captured much of the event, according to police reports. No one was hurt in the incident documented by video footage the evening of Jan. 2.
