Bullhead bank robber busted

BULLHEAD CITY – A man who fled Mission Bank with cash after handing a teller a demand note was quickly apprehended Friday, Nov. 22. Nobody was hurt during the robbery reported at 11:00 a.m. at the branch located in the 1400 block of Palma Way.

“Police were called to a report of a bank robbery where a male suspect handed a teller a threatening note demanding money,” said Bullhead City Police Department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt. “In fear for her safety, the teller placed some money into a brown paper bag that the suspect provided to her, and he then ran out of the bank.”

Fromelt said responding officers chased, caught and arrested the suspect identified as Marcus Davis, 40, Winnetka, California. He was jailed for the local robbery and an arrest warrant for a robbery charge in a Pennsylvania case.

Fromelt said the demand note and cash were recovered in the quick resolution of the Mission Bank robbery.
