LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. – Lake Havasu City, in partnership with the 9/11 Memorial Committee, invites the community to join us as we come together to honor the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the courage and sacrifice shown by so many on September 11, 2001.
This year marks 25 years since the terrorist attacks that forever changed our nation. To commemorate this significant anniversary, the community is invited to gather for a special remembrance ceremony on Friday, September 11, at 8:15 a.m. at London Bridge Beach near the flagpoles.
For a quarter century, September 11 has remained a day of remembrance, reflection, and tribute, thanks to the efforts of the 9/11 Memorial Committee. This year’s ceremony provides an opportunity for our community to mark this milestone together while ensuring the stories, sacrifices, and significance of that day continue to be remembered by future generations.
Lake Havasu City crews and the 9/11 Memorial Committee are working together to prepare the commemorative ceremony, and the public is encouraged to attend.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair for the ceremony. Water is available, and golf cart transportation is provided from the parking areas to the ceremony site for those who need assistance.
