Prison deal for BHC sex offender

Raymond Medrano

BULLHEAD CITY – A Bullhead City man who admits committing sex offenses involving two underage female family members will go to the Arizona Department of Corrections. A plea agreement for Raymond Medrano, 70, was entered before Judge Billy Sipe on June 13.

The plea deal dismisses 11 sex offense charges in exchange for convictions on four other counts. Medrano is convicted of two sexual conduct with a minor charges and two counts reduced to attempted sexual conduct with a minor.

Deputy Mohave County attorney Rod Albright said the illegal conduct involved vaginal touching and oral sex performed on females 12 and 16 years of age. Medrano admitted committing the acts between Jan. 2023 and March, 2024 at a residence in the 400 block of Paddack Dr.

Terms of the plea bargain require Judge Sipe to order a 5- to 15-year prison term at a July 23 sentencing hearing. Medrano would serve probation and register as a sex offender and will be subject to a no contact with victims order upon his release.
