KINGMAN  – The public is welcome to join the Kingman Mohave Lions for their Thursday, September 16 meeting at noon at Golden Corral. MEC opens application for annual Washington Youth Tour

BULLHEAD CITY  – Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEC) is proud to announce our continuing sponsorship of the annual Washington Youth Tour. The COVID-19 pandemic led to a statewide cancelation for the 2020 and 2021 Youth Tours. Despite the cancellation of the tour, MEC continued to support our student members by offering a scholarship in place of the 2020 and 2021 trips. Applications will be accepted for the 2022 Washington Youth Tour as the trip is expected to take place. County officials subject of COVID-19 litigation

Two Mohave County Health Department officials and a sheriff’s deputy are named as defendants in civil litigation alleging illegal enforcement of Arizona Governor Doug Ducey’s executive orders involving COVID-19 restrictions in the food service arena. Lawyer Eric Spencer with the Phoenix-based Snell & Wilmer law firm filed a complaint in U.S. District Court on April 19. The action is on behalf of plaintiff BlondZee’s (BZ) Steak House in Lake Havasu City. Dr. Regina Cobb suspends campaign for Arizona State Treasurer

UPDATED SEPT. 2, 2021 KINGMAN – District 5 state representative Dr. Regina Cobb has suspended her campaign for Arizona state Treasurer to take a private sector position that will enable ongoing involvement in politics and the dental industry. Cobb announced Wednesday that she will start work next week as the Executive Director of the Arizona Dental Association (AzDA). Cobb, a Kingman republican, became a dentist in 1993 and has maintained her license despite not practicing in recent years.
