MOHAVE COUNTY, Ariz. — The Mohave County Recorder’s Office began taking proactive steps ahead of Senate Bill 1479 (SB1479), which takes full effect on September 11.
Beginning Monday, August 3, the Recorder’s Office began requesting valid photo identification for all in-person document recordings as part of the transition to the new requirements. This early implementation will allow customers and staff time to become familiar with the updated process before the law takes effect.
The Recorder’s Office is updating procedures and training staff to help ensure a smooth transition while continuing to provide secure and efficient recording services for Mohave County residents.
“We are committed to making this transition as easy as possible for our customers while strengthening protections for property records,” said Lydia Henry, Mohave County Recorder.
Customers submitting documents in person are encouraged to bring valid photo identification beginning August 3.
