MOHAVE COUNTY – It’s handful of customers remain under a precautionary boil advisory before drinking water supplied by the Mohave County owned and operated I-40 Industrial Corridor water system. The advisory was issued following discovery of E. coli bacteria in the water supply on Thursday, Aug. 24. “These bacteria can make you sick, and are a particular concern for people with weakened immune systems,” a county news release stated. “Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation until further notice.” Public Works Director Steve Latoski said county staff spent the…

LAKE HAVASU CITY – At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 25, a fire in an aircraft hangar was reported by a bystander at the Lake Havasu City Airport. The first arriving fire company stationed at the Airport reported smoke coming from a large door on a hangar. After gaining entry, a working fire was visible in the back of the hangar which did have an aircraft inside. The hangar is in an area that has multiple hangars within close proximity. The fire did extend from the original hangar to an adjacent hangar. There were no occupants in the hangars…

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Animal Shelter will be offering adoptions for adult dogs over 40 pounds in a Clear The Shelter Event for the last few days of August. Through August 31all available dogs can go home to qualified adopters at no charge. No holds will be taken and not good for previously adopted animals.
