July 28, 1958 – October 22, 2026
Martha Brackney, 68, passed away unexpectedly on October 22, 2026, leaving behind a family and countless loved ones who will forever miss her.
Martha was born on July 28, 1958 to Richard and Geneva Sulanke. She moved to Arizona in 1964 where she built a life, raised her family and made countless memories.
Martha was a woman who was truly one of a kind. She was stubborn, strong-willed and had a temper like no other. She was never afraid to speak her mind and anyone who knew her probably knew that side of her well. But underneath that fiery personality was a heart bigger than words could ever describe. She was caring generous and always willing to help anyone who needed it.
Martha spent many years working at the school helping children with special needs. To Martha this was not just a job, it was her calling. Her compassion extended far beyond the school walls. She was the kind of person who would help anyone anytime without judgment.
Her home was always open and she never hesitated to take people in when they had no where else to go.
One of the greatest parts of Martha’s life was the love she shared with her husband Dan. Together they built a life and family over 52 years of marriage, standing beside each other through life’s many ups and downs.
Above all Martha was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She leaves behind her husband Dan, son Daniel, daughter April, two grandsons, two great-granddaughters, seven sisters, two brothers and countless friends and family members who loved her dearly.
Martha’s passing was unexpected and the emptiness she leaves behind is impossible to put into words. There will never be another Martha. Her stubbornness, her fiery temper, her generosity, laughter and most of all her enormous heart will forever be remembered by those lucky enough to have known and loved her.
Rest peacefully Martha. You can breathe again, no more struggling. We love you forever.
