Reader does not believe creditable news sources

Dear Editor, I used to enjoy the news. Taking into account the week’s happenings, I’m really ashamed of all the negative press and commercials for both candidates. Where have all the good reporters gone? When did they decide to become liars and story tellers instead of telling the truth and inform the people of facts so we could make up our own minds about these candidates? I can remember when being a reporter was an admirable thing. We looked to them to give us what we needed to make informed decisions. Now, I don’t believe anything they write or say…

Officers cleared in August Lake Havasu City shooting death

A Lake Havasu City man fired more than two dozen rifle rounds towards officers and homes before charging out of his residence drawing fatal gunfire from local police. That’s part of the narrative of a Mohave County Attorney’s office letter clearing Sergeant Brian Jacobs and officer Brent Skancke of any wrongdoing in the shooting death of Ronald Chipman, 39. The Bullhead City Police Department conducted an independent investigation of the Aug. 19 incident in the 3300 block of Pocahontas Drive. Deputy Mohave County Attorney James Schoppmann wrote a letter stating that he reviewed the investigation and determined the officers were…
