New businesses continue to blossom in Kingman

KINGMAN – Site preparation is underway where the Verde Building Corporation is constructing a Dutch Bros coffeehouse and a Filliberto’s restaurant on Stockton Hill Rd. (SHR) in Kingman. Oregon-based Cole Valley Partners is developing the 2.75-acre parcel just north of the True Value Hardware Store. “We’re fully permitted, started construction this week and Dutch Bros will be open in January,” said project manager Ryan Ramey. He said the 862 sq. ft. Dutch Bros will be situated on the “hard corner” and that the 2,500 sq. ft. Filliberto’s further off the arterial should be open sometime in April, if not before….

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office would like to inform the community of a scam that has increased inpopularity recently. Over the last few weeks, multiple reports have been taken in regards to individualsreceiving letters and/or debit cards for unemployment benefits that they did not apply for. The letters areusually addressed to someone else using the recipients’ address. COVID-19: Governor’s orders supersede local decisions

This time, they would give the ballot proposition a respectable sounding name, tweak a couple of details without really limiting their potential market, and spread the word that this recreational marijuana proposition was “Smart and Safe.” Polling indicated their ploy was working. Two charged with drugs for sale

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Two Lake Havasu City men face prosecution following seizure of drugs, cash and weapons. Police were involved in an investigation of a rash of drug overdoses when they visited a two-bedroom apartment in the 2200 block of McCulloch Blvd on Sept. 29. They were able to conduct a search of the unit when they smelled marijuana and spotted drug paraphernalia when the door was opened. Officers reportedly confiscated about an ounce of cocaine, hallucinogenic mushrooms packaged for sale in baggies, dozens of marijuana oil cartridges, two firearms and more than $3,000 in cash.
