COVID-19 update: 11 new cases, three deaths

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff has been notified of 11 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and three deaths from previously reported cases. Two of the deaths are in the Kingman service area. One is in the 60-69 year age range and the other is 70-79. The third death is a 60-69 person in the Lake Havasu City service area. Seven of the 11 new confirmed cases are in the Bullhead City service area. Two of those are hospitalized and remain under investigation. One is 70-79 and the other is 80-89. UniSource asks customers for voluntary energy conservation

KINGMAN. – UniSource Energy Services joined other Arizona utilities in calling for voluntary energy conservation from  today to ease a regional energy shortage amid extremely high temperatures throughout the southwestern United States. Although UniSource expects to have enough energy on hand to serve customers, the company is joining Arizona Public Service, Tucson Electric Power and TRICO in calling for conservation between 3-8 p.m.  to limit the strain on the regional grid.
