David Schauer, SSGT of the United States Marine Corps, Passed on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. Mr. Schauer was born on November 27, 1948 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He resided in Kingman, Arizona. Private services will be held at the Colorado River on September 12. Mr. Schauer was an Alumni of Bitburg High School in Bitburg Germany. He was an electronics technician in the aerospace industry. COVID-19 update: 10 new cases, one death

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff has been notified of a total of 10 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and, also, one death. The one death is a previously reported 80-89 year age range person in the Lake Havasu City service area. Of the ten new confirmed cases, 9 are in the Bullhead City service area and there is one case in the Kingman service area. All 9 of the Bullhead City area cases are under investigation. GRAND CANYON – Paleontological research has confirmed a series of recently discovered fossils tracks are the oldest recorded tracks of their kind to date within Grand Canyon National Park. MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College and Phoenix Truck Driving School have partnered up to bring the opportunity of obtaining a Commercial Driver’s License to Mohave County. MOHAVE COUNTY – “Confusing” was a word often repeated Thursday as Mohave County Supervisors spent another hour continuing their multiple meeting debate over coronavirus data, and how and when it should be reported. Investigation underway following fatal officer-involved shooting

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Bullhead City police department is conducting an independent investigation of a fatal officer-involved-shooting in Lake Havasu City. The practice is customary, as is the paid administrative leave of the two officers involved while the deadly gunfire exchange is under review.
