City of Kingman unveils Strategic Plan

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is unveiling a new webpage tied directly to the strategic plan and adopted Mission, Vision and Values (MVVs). This new webpage will have current reports that show the goals for the city that fall under each department, and the progress of those goals being completed. All goals fall in line with the strategic priorities and the MVVs of the City of Kingman. A link to the page and reports is: https://www.cityofkingman.gov/government/city-administration/city-manager/strategic-plan-and-mvvs

“This is another step for us to show transparency in government in a way that’s very easy to understand,” said Kingman City Manager Ron Foggin. “This has been accomplished through the efforts of the City Council and multiple city team members working together in finding ways to better engage our community with the work and services the city provides.”

The Kingman City Council laid out its six strategic priorities:

·       Improved City Services & Livability

·       Modernization

·       Economic Prosperity

·       Communication & Teamwork

·       Partnerships

·       Culture

The City Leadership Team turned these priorities into goals, and this reporting will show the community the progression of those goals within the city services provided.

The city worked with PMH Insights to achieve the ability to report the planning and goals in a transparent way to residents. PMH Insights is implementing the PMH Local Government Framework using an online planning tool to accommodate planning and reporting for City of Kingman. The City will now be able to report to the community via progress updates within the City of Kingman Strategic Plan. A new level of transparency, accountability, and open communication is being achieved.
