KINGMAN – The outside right lane will be closed to vehicles travelling north bound at the intersection of Beale Street and Ella’s Place/Grandview Avenue for the continuing construction of the Andy Devine Avenue ADA improvements project. Lane restrictions at this intersection will also be required in Beale Street for motorists traveling east bound. These closures/restrictions will begin tomorrow morning, January 28, and be in place for approximately two weeks. The city would like to remind all travelling public to use caution when travelling through construction zones, and to obey all traffic signage. Lake Mead roads to receive $5.6 million in improvements

BOULDER CITY, Nev. – A $5.6 million pavement preservation project to improve roads within Lake Mead National Recreation Area will begin in early February. The project will include cleaning, patching, resurfacing and re-marking roads and parking areas at Katherine Landing, Temple Bar, Eldorado Canyon, South Cove and the park headquarters and warehouse complex. Once completed, it will enhance the visitor experience and meet the park’s maintenance needs. The work is scheduled to take place during daylight hours on weekdays through April.  During construction, visitors may experience short delays along the roadways, and parking areas may be closed for a limited…

BHC Police Department stepping up its game

BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Police Department was recently awarded the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) 2020. Funds will be used the acquire new traffic enforcement equipment and to participate in the Arizona Department of Transportation’s (ADOT) TraCS program. The GOHS Grant awarded $8,064 to purchase speed enforcement equipment and digital speed sign traffic cloud software. An additional $3,000 from an Alcohol/DUI Grant will be used to purchase portable breath test devices (PBT’s) to assist officers in DUI investigations “The Police Department’s goal is to make the roadways of Bullhead City as safe as possible,” said Traffic Section…
