MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave College invites students, employees and community members to celebrate America 250 with free community events at all four campuses.

The celebrations will feature hot dogs, apple pie and ice cream while supplies last. Red, white and blue attire is encouraged.

America 250 marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Mohave College is joining communities across the country in recognizing the milestone and bringing people together for a fun, casual celebration.

Colorado City Campus will hold its celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Utah time Wednesday, June 24, in Room 503.

The Neal Campus-Kingman, Lake Havasu City Campus and Bullhead City Campus celebrations will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 25. The Kingman event will be in Room 240, the Lake Havasu City event will be in Building 600, and the Bullhead City event will be in Building 600.

The events are free and open to the public.

“These events are all about bringing people together while marking an important moment in our nation’s history,” said Gary Cooper, Bullhead City Campus Dean of Student & Community Engagement, and one of the organizers for these campus events.  “Throw on some red, white and blue, stop by a campus near you, and celebrate.”

The celebrations are sponsored by the Mohave College Office of Student Life and Community Engagement.
