COVID-19 cases rise to 48 for Mohave County

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 14, 2020) – The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified today of three COVID-19 new positive cases out of the Kingman service area. The contact investigations have been initiated with all three cases and all of them have been determined to be epidemiologically-linked to another case. Case 1 is in the 20-44 year age range; case 2 is in the 55-64 age range; and case 3 is between 20-44.  All three are currently in isolation and recovering at home. State To Partner With University Of Arizona On 250,000 Tests PHOENIX⁠ — Governor Doug Ducey announced today, April 14, a partnership between the state of Arizona and the University of Arizona to provide antibody tests for 250,000 health care professionals and first responders who are on the frontlines in the battle against COVID-19.  The University of Arizona will administer the antibody tests to check for antibodies through an individual’s blood sample to determine if they were exposed to COVID-19, had the virus and recovered. LAKE HAVASU CITY – As high unemployment continues due to the current worldwide health crisis, one popular tourist destination in western Arizona is battling food insecurity. In Lake Havasu City, the local convention and visitors bureau, is teaming with the Lake Havasu Hospitality Association (LHAA), representing the city’s hotels, restaurants, RV park and campgrounds, and rental services, to offer meal vouchers to hundreds of unemployed hospitality employees who have been financially affected by COVID-19.
