Mayor Cal Sheehy announces re-election campaign for Lake Havasu City Mayor

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Mayor Cal Sheehy has officially qualified for the ballot in his re-election campaign for Mayor of Lake Havasu City, submitting the maximum 1,249 signatures from registered voters.

Under Sheehy’s leadership, the Irrigation and Drainage District was dissolved, resulting in a $5.7 million property tax reduction for residents. His administration has also made strategic investments in public safety, infrastructure, and water systems—without raising taxes or incurring new debt.

Sheehy has prioritized conservative fiscal management, water security, public safety, and critical infrastructure. A longtime Lake Havasu City resident and graduate of Lake Havasu High School, he has remained focused on putting local residents first throughout his time in office.

“We’ve made real progress lowering taxes and investing in our future without taking on debt,” Sheehy said. “I’m running for re-election to keep Lake Havasu City moving forward responsibly, with a clear vision for the next generation.”

Sheehy is seeking another term to build on this momentum and continue delivering results for Lake Havasu City residents. Current priorities include projects championed by the community, such as Fire Station 7 and the second bridge.
